Paraloeil announces a summer program with the Children of Paradise

But what do we mean by that? Becoming a young cinephile means discovering the diversity of world cinema, both in terms of genres (documentary, fiction, animation), countries and eras. It is also to discover a cinema which can be poetic, dramatic, exploratory, etc., that is to say which varies the experiences. The cinephile likes to discover different styles and original proposals. It goes without saying that he must develop his active listening and open his horizons!

Thus, the July and August 2023 program will consist of various short and feature films, international and Quebec, animated or not, and more or less recent, which will impress both children and their parents.

The summer schedule:

“ Ernest and Célestine: the trip to Charabie ” (2022)

Julien Chheng, Jean-Christophe Roger

July 5, 2023 “ Ernest and Célestine: the trip to Charabie ” (2022), France. Ernest and Ce?lestine return to Ernest's country, Charabie, to have his precious broken violin repaired. They then discover that music has been banned throughout the country for several years: for the two heroes, it is unthinkable to live without music.

July 12, 2023 “ Short Circuit ” (1986), USA. Designed by Professor Newton Crosby and his assistant Benjamin Jahrvi, intended for military purposes, Number 5 is nothing more than a machine a little more sophisticated than the others when lightning strikes it. Now gifted with thinking and a solid sense of humor, the robot, totally confused, finds refuge with a pretty ecologist. But already, the army is hunting him down with the sole aim of reducing him to spare parts...
